About the winery : Founded by nobleman Agusti Vilaret in 1865, it is Spain’s oldest operating cava producer. Based to the north of Barcelona in Penedes, all grapes are sourced from estate vineyards and the wines are produced by hand using the traditional method, spending between 15 months and 3 years in bottle. Each is inspired and named after a historical local figure and produced from traditional Cava cultivars, Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, as well as Pinot Noir & Chardonnay.
